Degonda-Rehab is a company specializing in wheelchairs and in the positioning disabled people. In 1994, Degonda developed and patented a new concept of indoor/outdoor power wheelchair which was unique in being able to turn on the spot. It has manufactured and marketed wheelchairs and products based on these concepts since 1994. The current model (the T4) is a radically new product having a 2- and 4-wheel drive version for severely handicapped persons. Degonda’s products are: electronic automated biomechanical wheelchairs, manual wheelchairs, scooters, walkers and rollators, sports seats etc. Degonda have 3 service centres in Switzerland, 31 sales points in Switzerland and distribution channels across Europe.




Siegert Electronic has been developing and manufacturing customer specified Hybrid Electronic Circuits for more than 40 years, using advanced interconnection technologies like SMD, baredie and Flip Chip assemblies. Hybrid circuits are electronic modules printed on ceramic substrates, a technology in between semiconductor integration and discrete realization on PCB technology. They are commonly used, when electronic modules have to meet high technicalrequirements. The Advanced Composites Manufacturing Centre (ACMC), Plymouth University, was established in 1987. Its mission has been to bridge the gap between academic research in composite materials and their commercial exploitation.  ACMC has worked in partnership with materials suppliers, manufacturers and end users on fundamental research into property/processing interaction, prototype design and production, process optimisation and technology transfer. Principal composites manufacturing facilities comprise 40 tonne heated press, autoclave (400oC), Ciject RTM injection machine plus experimental mould tool, DSC, rheometer, infra-red thermography, static, fatigue and electro-pulse mechanical testing, micro-CT scan, optical, electron and scanning probe microscopy, Rapid prototyping machines and 100W laser cutter/engraver. This project will be managed through University of Plymouth Enterprise Ltd (UOPEL), a wholly owned trading subsidiary of the University of Plymouth.  UoPEL exists to support the commercialisation aims of the University by managing the exploitation of the University’s skills (its people), knowledge and intellectual property.

Muscular Dystrophy Association Cyprus (MDA Cyprus), was founded back in 1986 and its members are children and adults from all over Cyprus. The main objectives of MDA Cyprus are the reassurance and provision of medical and emotional support to its members, and the promotion of measures for the active support from the Cyprus Government and society for all matters concern people with neuromuscular diseases. Among many other services the MDA Cyprus organizes lectures and other events for the update of its members on research or other issues concerning their diseases. MDA Cyprus is involved with people suffering from neuromuscular conditions such as Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, Myasthenia Gravis, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), peripheral nerve diseases like Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease and almost all categories of neuromuscular diseases. MDA Cyprus cooperates very closely with the Institute of Neurology and Genetics (CING) where its main offices are located. Research facilities and services are co-exist in CING, offering an excellent research and medical center in Cyprus. MDA Cyprus uses these services of CING to offer the best possible medical support to MDA’s members locally in Cyprus. With the cooperation of CING, organizes Cyprus TELETHON each year, which is an annual international charity event.





The Panhellenic Association of Paraplegic was officially registered in 1977 and represents the paraplegic and heavy physically handicapped people in Greece. It is the first association of its kind that founded in Greece.
